This Privacy Policy applies to the mobile application "Smart TV Remote Control" (the "App"), developed and provided by VoltClean ("we", "us", or "our").

This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your personal information when you use our App. By installing or using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of data:

Device information: device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers (e.g., Advertising ID), IP address, and language settings.
Local network information: to discover and connect to smart TVs and compatible devices on your Wi-Fi network. We do not transmit your local network topology to external servers.
Usage data: features used, session duration, button presses, and crash reports — used solely for improving app performance.
Advertising data: data collected by Google AdMob (advertising ID, device info) to serve relevant advertisements.
Payment data: managed entirely by Google Play or Apple App Store. We do not store or process your payment card details.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data to:

Discover and connect to TVs and smart devices on your local network.
Provide and improve the remote control functionality.
Diagnose crashes and fix bugs.
Display advertisements via Google AdMob.
Process subscription purchases and manage entitlements.
Comply with legal obligations.

4. Local Network Access

The App requires access to your local Wi-Fi network to scan for and communicate with smart TVs, streaming devices, and other compatible appliances (e.g., Android TV, Google TV, Samsung TV, LG TV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV).

This communication occurs entirely within your home network. Device names and IP addresses discovered during scanning are stored locally on your device and are never sent to our servers.

5. Advertising (Google AdMob)

Our App displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as Advertising ID) and usage data to serve personalized or non-personalized ads, depending on your consent preferences.

To limit personalized advertising:

Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization.
iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising → turn off Personalized Ads.

6. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions

Our App offers optional premium subscriptions that remove ads and unlock additional features. Subscriptions are processed by Google Play or Apple App Store. We do not receive or store your payment details.

Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the billing period.
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time via your store account settings.
Refunds are subject to Google Play or Apple's refund policies.

7. Third-Party Services

Our App may integrate with the following third-party services, each with its own privacy policy:

Google AdMob – advertising
Google Play Billing / Apple StoreKit – payment processing
Firebase Crashlytics – crash reporting (if enabled)

8. Data Retention

We retain data only as long as necessary for app functionality, legal compliance, or legitimate business purposes. Crash logs and analytics are typically retained for no longer than 12 months. You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 9).

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you.
Request correction or deletion of your data.
Object to or restrict certain processing.
Withdraw consent at any time.
Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.

10. Children's Privacy

Our App is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted within the App or on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
